If you would like to apply a hair shader to Dynamic Edge hair in Carrara 7 or 8.
First Select Dynamic Edge Hair in the Assemble room.
Then you will need to go into the Texture room.
In the Texture Room, select one of the shaders that came with Dynamic Edge Hair in the Shader Browser and drag onto the “Mulitiple Shading Domains” at the top right. (see image below)
If you are experiencing any crashes when attempting to load the shader or hair, please reset your downloads in your Order History at Daz3d and install again, to insure you have the latest version of Dynamic Edge Hair.
Lately I have been “playing” in Vue8.5 Infinite and I couldn’t help but wonder if I could push Carrara 8 to create similar environments. The image here is a small section of a terrain with sunlight, volumetric clouds, etc. I was hoping to create a beautiful environment that rendered nicely from all angles and had that fantastic traditional art / landscape master look . I’ll post more images of the same scene when I get a chance.
The image above is a quick example of a render I produced in Vue 8 Frontier on the first day of installation. I had originally purchased the program to test it’s rendering of Poser/ Daz | Studio characters, but fell in love with the environments. That lead to purchasing Vue 8.5 Infinite a few days later. You will see some of the renders showcased here on this site as they progress. I might even upload some sample scenes if anyone is interested.
